The first life saving station in the US. Here men had learned the technique of CPR and were installed on the Outer Banks where most of the ships crashed on to the shores. More education! What we have learned already. Very Cool!
There are so many light houses on this Island. Today we visited Bodie Island to see this 150 foot light house. Built in 1847, it has been renovated many times.
