Sunday on My Time II

Hank, David and I went fishing for about 4 hours. Boy, did we have some fun. Between sharks, sting rays, trout and the BIG ONE that got away, we had a great time.

Oh yea....Hank even got to pet the Dolphins.

My Time Fishing trip

David's first cast caught a bucket of bait, then we were off to do some fishing. Lillie was the first to pull in a big shark, it was so much fun.

Hank and I were the rookies, so I had to stomp on the chum to hang along side the boat to bring in the BIG fish. Second was Hank to catch a large sting ray...so far we were doing great, but no eatable fish. lol.
Hank and I both were at the helm. We had a great day. So much fun with the family.

The Oyster Factory

Can you tell we are brother and sister?

The family enjoyed a nice seafood diner at the Oyster Factory.
Everyone had a great time!

Wish Suzanne could have joined us!! It wasn't planned, we just call and asked David if we could come, lol.

Hilton Head, South Carolina

We had a change of plans and thanks to our good friends, Georgann and Lamont we had a place to stay on Hilton Head Island over memorial weekend. The house is full with David, Pepi, Trey, Mary, Bill, Becky, Jerry, Kelly, Jamie, Helen and Michael, plus us. Had a fun, laughable time watching Bill and Hank pulling up the crab trap. Friday morning, the boys are playing golf. Girls are riding their bikes and going to the pool. Sat. I think if the weather holds out, we are going fishing on the boat in the background picture.

Is that Hank with a Wally?

While we were at Debbie's, Hank got to hold one of Karen's Wallys. How often do you get to do that? Hank has had so many different experiences with Doug involving Drag Race, that I don't think that grin will ever come off his face.

Mermaids in Weeki Wachee

Today, Debbie, Doug, Hank and myself went to see the mermaids perform for Memorial weekend. There were 6 ladies that stayed under water with breathing hoses. More than 117 million gallons of fresh spring water bubbles out of this spring. It is crystal clear. After the show we took a short boat ride down the river. Excellent Day!

3rd day, canoeing down Withlacoochee River

Debbie and Doug, along with us, rented canoes and went down a 3 hour River ride. It was really beautiful, quiet, shallow, and calm.

We had a great time.

2nd night at Debbie's

This is where we parked the coach in a shed in the back yard. That night, Debbie had friends and family over for dinner. What a great time !

Our first night with Debbie and Doug

Our first night after we arrived at Debbie and Doug's house, we went to a really cool "walmart party" at Chris and Ben's house.

This was really cool place on the water, with helicopter landing out in the yard.

They had clothes hanging all over the house, a car in the front yard with the wheels off, mufflers in the hallway. very cute ideas!

Top Fuel Finals

For the finals, Debbie was able to obtain a sponsor pass for me and I got to stand right behind the line to experience the noise. Enjoy!

Sunday at the Atlanta Drag Races

Hank had a really great time with Danny! What in the world is Danny doing anyway? Karen made it to the finals, but didn't get one of these Wallys but it was really close.

Saturday at the Races.

Charlie and Gabe had a great day. They got to hang out in the pits with Karen, she gave them hats and signed them, while Hank and Davy were 2 peas in a pod. I sat with Jim, Charlie, Gabe and John and watched the funny cars, top fuel and our favorite Pro Stock Motorcycles.

Chateau Elan

Tonight we again celebrate the three girls birthdays!
Karen, Debbie and Lillie. We went to Chateau Elan. Over 10 years ago, my oldest daughter married here and boy things had changed. The ground picture above is where we stood. But in my mind, I see Brian and Katherine standing there,a beautiful couple exchanging vows.

Love you kids. p.s. your Momma sure has been stretching this bd and getting the most out of it. Girls fly and visit, a trip across the country, time with my Mom, then a Drag race with friends. WOW!

Last Day at St. Mtn. then connection with friends.

Hank and I decided to walk around the bottom of the mountain this morning. Good idea, right! 5 miles later, I feel like I am in the commercial beeping the key ring looking for my car. Actually, I was so proud of us for making it completely around the thing.

Later, we met up with Debbie, Doug, Terry, and Greg for a celebration birthday dinner.

Spending the night at the Flying J, then heading in to the race track in the morning. This is the life on the road, Terry in Blue Semi, us, Debbie & Doug (toad in front) Greg in yellow Geico semi. The way they parked, we were able to put our slides out.

Stone Mountain

Yesterday, Hank and I climbed the mountain, up and down.

Boy, Lillie is so out of shape...guess there is no better place to start then now.

Later went over to visit my Mom....I enjoyed that so much, she is really improved over the last visit 3 months ago.

Stone Mountain, Georgia

We arrived at Stone Mountain, where we will stay a couple of days to relax, and hike.

The weather is beautiful but we are going to have to adjust to the humidity, we forgot!
We are in the woods, with a lake behind the coach. This is the very first place Hank and I began our journey. We had a 5th wheel then, and my family came to meet him for the very first time. We were dating and Hank was soon to propose. Where did 5 years go?

We took 2 small hikes this evening one to see a 100 year old bridge, very good shape.
2nd hike was to a grist mill, then over to see the engravings on the mountain.

Palm Creek, our new location

I nearly forgot to update you guys, Hank and I decided after returning each winter to improve a site for a casita (storage shed) and concrete for the RV. The planter (not finished) I will put a couple of palms in it with flowers to enjoy through the winter. If you look very closely, we were located on the street behind on the right. Our new and final site number will be #1368.

Please come and see us anytime.

Happy Trails to me...

We are traveling east, in Louisiana. It has been an interesting journey so far. It has been along time since Hank and I were on the road, adjustments were needed, lol.

We both had itchy feet and are glad to be moving.

Everyone have a great summer!

Big 60th Bash!

After the surprise with my girls, we have 56 people to get pork and tri-tips ready to eat. With homemade ice cream, cake, lots of food....then the games. Music chairs, the Oldy wed game, and Karoke. Katherine made a great bartender, she supplied everyone with Chocolate Martini's, or lemon drop.
Thank you girls for all your help, what a wonderful Day to celebrate being alive.
