Tucson Monaco Rally

Yesterday Hank and I followed Bob and Marlene down to Tucson to check out the Monaco Rally. They sold over 17 coaches. That is great news especially for Monaco. We met up with Peggy and Jim and had lunch at a Mexican Rest.
Always great time with old friends.

Last night, Doug (Mona's Husband) had a surprise party. Her boss told her they had a meeting in one of the room's at 5:30. We were hiding behind the chairs when she walked in..boy, she was surprised. She even came prepared with pen and paper. (lol)
Happy birthday MONA.

Daily Activity

You know I won't bore you blogging the same ole stuff for the next six months but Hank and I decided to sell our home when we return in April and hit the road. So, I am sure there will be some exciting adventures in the near future. Meanwhile, this is a picture of us playing volleyball.

Ladies Day Out

Diane invited a group of women, Pat, Sherry, Nancy and Lillie to go bathing suit hunting in Apache Junction. We got some great deals, suits at $14.95. We all play volleyball everyday, so we really needed them. We enjoyed a great lunch then a shopping spree at Costco's. What fun we had!

Happy Birthday Marlene

We arrived a little late for Marlene's BD, but we decided to make a Pegs and Jokers cake for her anyway. The little pegs matched Marlene's pink, Bob's orange.
Hank smoked a pork, and make some really HOT popppers.

Happy birthday Marlene!!

Palm Creek

Even though we arrived at Palm Creek earlier than normal, the place is popping with activity. I have played water volleyball 2 days in a row. There are muscles hurting which I didn't know I had. We have walked the parked and ridden our bikes.
Tues. night we went to Bob and Marlene's and played pegs and jokers.
Gotten flu shots! Picked up mail and done all the normal boring stuff (lol).

I am hoping Deb and Doug make a special hand delivery next month and visit for awhile.

I probably won't write as often but will facebook.

I will post the abnormal things!!

Bass Pro Shop

Hank and I have been staying across the road from the Bass Pro shop, we decided last evening to take a walk through the store. Wow! This is one of the biggest I have been through. I did a little shooting, shopping, checked out "future boats," watched the fishes. This place was really entertaining.

We are leaving Vegas today for Arizona.

Downtown Vegas

Last night we went to downtown Vegas. This is a view of Freemont Street looks and the video is just a tiny bit of the show shown on the ceiling every hour. We both won at gambling last night and came home winners. We attended Sunday School and Church this morning and everyone "re-welcomed" us back for our annual visit.

Imperial Palace, Flamingo, Caesar's Palace

Today Hank and I went to see the fantastic cars at the Imperial Palace, then strolled down to the Flamingo to see guess what? "Flamingos"
Then over to the shops in Caesar's Palace..we ran into Pete Rose signing bats and balls, he looks so OLD.

Red Rock Canyon

Yesterday was a challenge for me! We went hiking in the Red Rock Canyon. We did 3 easy trails and my new back handled it all. It was beautiful day! The weather was perfect. We had a enjoyable picnic on one of the trails.

Night life on the strip

Hank and I walk, walk and walk. We have gone down to New York-New York, MGM. We went shopping throughout the different casinos.

Las Vegas-this is our home for a week

Well our first day in Vegas is very relaxing. "The White Ghost" went swimming for about an hour. Then the two of us rode our bikes around the park. This is the first time on my bike since my surgery. I've always heard, "it's like riding a bike, just hop back on there." (lol)
Later we went to the strip and walked through Rio and Gold Coast. Neither of us had been in either casino. We didn't loose to much money!

We are up early again before 5am...when will our bodies change time? We have already walked the perimeter of the park and it isn't even 7am. Geez

Hank and I awoke at 4:30 again this morning, so we decided to go to IHOP for breakfast on the other side of the Colorado River in Arizona. These were a couple of pictures with a beautiful sunrise. Off to Vegas this morning!!

Laughlin at night

The campground we are staying at has 752 campsites. It is on the side of a hill and we are on the top looking down on the city. It is a very pretty site seeing the buildings glowing in different colors. Mr Moon was even showing off tonight over the city. Hank went outside to get a bunch of pictures and these are just a few of them.

Laughlin Classic Car Museum

Tonight Hank and I went over to the Riverside Casino. Upstairs we found a neat car museum...thought we would share some phone pictures.

Laughlin, Nevada

Yesterday we went from over 7,000' down to 500', that sure messed with my sinus infection. Hank and I parked in an RV park overlooking the river. After we got situated we headed up to the Tropicana to do a little "HOT SHOT" slots. Hank won $8.
We slept in late, 4am. (lol) and decided to walk up to Harrah's. It is 2miles up a hill and you could ride a water taxi back but no Hank wanted to kill me.

Finally, we are now in New Mexico. We noticed that the Balloon Festival starts tomorrow.

Oklahoma City

We arrived today and decided to go to the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. This was actually pretty awesome. They had a real town inside the Museum, with a jail, bank, merchantile, hotel...all sorts of things. Plus awesome paintings, a beautiful garden with water fountains. Saddles, spurs, guns...well you get the picture. We really enjoyed this.

On our return back to the Rv, we decided to go by the Alfred P. Murrah building where Timothy McVeigh blew up that building and damaged 324 other buildings. Very moving place.

Night out with Friends

Last night we had dinner at Paula Deens'. We are going to need a wheelbarrel to push us around. Dinner was enjoyable with Gary, Greg and Tina (our first time meeting Tina), and Doug and Debbie. You must be so careful eating Paulas food because almost everything is either fried or soaked in butter or lard. lol.
Anyway, we had a nice evening and now will continue our journey west.

On The Road Again

We made it to Tunica, Mississippi..here we will meet up with friends today and spend another night in Harrah's Casino RV Park. We are going to Paula Deen Buffet this morning for breakfast. I guess Hank and I will start our diets tomorrow. lol. Last night after getting settled, we went to the slot machines.

Don't mess with Lillie

Katherine reminded me to use peanut butter on the trap to get a mouse and it worked.
Next time, you won't mess with Lillie! It kept taking the cheese, not anymore.

Lillie goes to DC

Wednesday I arrived in DC, Katherine and we decided not to fight the 5 o'clock traffic and walked the Potomac River and enjoyed a nice dinner. We had fun catching up.
Thursday we went to Panera Bread for lunch, then got a massage and facials. We went to Macy's and did a little shopping.
Friday, Donna, Katherine and I caught the Metro down to DC. We went to the Holocaust Museum. We spent about 3 hours down there. If you haven't been there, it will make you very humble. The stories told were amazing. The room where the shoes of the many that were gased, gave you chills. We came home fixed a great dinner and played Phase 10.
Saturday, first thing, Katherine and I walked to the farmers market, shopped around. Later in the afternoon, the girls walked down to the movie "Love Happens" very depressing. Afterwards we walked to dinner at "Sushi" and shared many different dishes.
Sunday, we had a quiet time sipping coffee, playing with cats and just chit chat.
I had a wonderful time with you Katherine...thanks so much for a wonderful trip.

Isn't that just cool seeing those turkeys in your backyard? I just thought I would share with you guys.

Impressed with my Husband's Talents

There is no end to what this man can do! He has made 3 tote bags and 1 purse. Each time they are improving. He even put a zipper in the purse, Wow. Girls eat your hearts out. Men you can tease all you want...this guy is comfortable in his shoes. I am so proud of him.

Party at Bobby's Place

Hank and I drove to Atlanta today to visit with my Mom, Bobby. They were having a party for little kids. We fit in perfectly, especially Hank with his "Cotton Candy". I think he ate 3 of them, yuck. Of course, Mary and Bill let Mikey eat anything he wanted, cookies, chips, cotton candy, and hot dogs. I gave Bobby her shawl I made for her and she loved it.
We spoke with old friends from Palm Creek today and are getting excited and ready to go. But first, I am heading to DC on Wednesday.
