Today was like going back in history with Bobby and Pappy. From a couple of streets back, I could look out in the harbor and see 2 aircraft carriers, surrounded by destroyers waiting to ship out. I can imagine Bobby watching Pappys' aircraft carrier, the USS Block Island departing, to find German U-boats. We had a great tour of the base, viewing a city within secure walls.
Tonight we walked along the pier and watched the Volleyballs tournaments.
Had a wonderful evening.
