Hank and I drove to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Boy, this was awesome!! It was overcast early this am, and 54 degrees. We arrived at the Lodge but it was too cloudy to see anything. We decided to have a scone and hot chocolate. After that, the fog lifted and left us with a gorgeous view on the Canyon and Colorado River.
We drove to all the view points and hiked several of the trails. The altitude was 8800', and you became breathless while walking. We stopped at picnic tables which overlooked the cliffs (wow). It was very windy, but enjoyed the coolness after the hot temperatures in the last few parks. We had a great time!
