Casa Grande Ruins National Monument

Today Hank and I decided to venture out of the resort and visit the nearby ruins. The ruins are over 1,000 years old and the oldest findings of a village in the U.S. This was the Nation's first archeological reserve found in 1892. We had a good time walking around looking at the clay walls and watching the video of this Hohokam Indian Tribe. There were alot of their clay pots, jewelry and different types of tools used for farming and irrigations. It was declared as a National Monument in 1918. So, this was pretty cool.....just like the weather!
