My Job....

One of my job duties was to help Karen get ready to start a new dog agility class. She had her first 2 yesterday with great attendance.

The other was to have a lunch for 30 employees. At the last minute, my boss couldn't attend. Most are Mexicans, but with the help of the guys I am learning a little Spanish to communicate. They all seem to enjoy the food and the raffle.

Mardi Gras Party

Ann and Steve always give a great Mardi Gras Party and this year wasn't any different. We had a great time!

Today, he will be going to some western gun shoot out.

My Mom celebrating 94 years!

I wish I could have joined my family in celebrating my Mom's 94th birthday. She was surrounded by my sisters and brother and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She looks as beautiful as ever. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!

After Bob's death, Hank was very depressed. Finally, he went to the air show last week and bought him a new plane. I helped with the decals. Rebecca had taught me how to put them on.

Ladies Poker Night

This was a interesting evening. Some girls talked me into going to play Texas Hold em last night, LADIES NIGHT. Anyway, there were over 40 women. $10 to get in the game! The game started at 6:30, by 7:30 my pile of chips were growing and I was eliminating players. The joke at our table was me saying, "How many chips you got there woman??" lol. By 9:30, one table left and 5 girls.

One by one there were all in and down to two of us for 1st and 2nd. We had both been at different tables and both tired. So, she offered to split the pot...I agreed and we both walked away with $130. Exciting Evening for me!!

Super Bowl 2012

This is becoming a yearly thing at our place. It is also growing bigger and bigger. We had 4 TV's going outside. 43 people showed up with awesome food and Hank cooked 2 smoked pork.

Cancer Awareness Walk

It was a beautiful night and a band, lots of people, the cow from Chick-filet (s), my boss-Jim and his lovely wife Laura led the parade.

We had a silent auction, hot chocolate.

Cancer Awareness Week

When I came out of work, there were people everywhere putting the bags all around for the

cancer awareness walk. I will be walking in it later tonight. It is sad but beautiful all at the same time.

Yesterday I was coming home from playing Volleyball and I saw this cut Golfer out on 14.

After an exhausting day at work, an afternoon working in the garden etc.... I am taking a stain glass class 3 nights a week from 6:30-9:30. But my piece is coming along nicely.

A day in Tucson

The girls beading club headed down to Tucson for the day. With Sharons' great guidance, all of us came home with tons of beads.

The show was unbelievable, with tents outside and beads galore!!!

We had a wonderful day!

My first bowl

After 2 days of class, I completed my first bowl. Maybe next time I will get a little more detailed. I had to learn how to use the lathe and tools.

I had fun and now Hank will be taking the class this coming weekend.

Today I took a class on how to make a bowl. You are just seeing the beginning of the bowl. The tools I use are behind me, the red and yellow stand. I tried them all to see what they did. I had a really great time except I was getting a cold and not feeling great.

Tomorrow I will finish it up! I have about an inch more to take out in the center. Hank is taking the same class next week, that way we can do this together.

Garden In Palm Creek

On Thursdays, I always work in the garden. It really feels weird to be in January with Tomatoes, lettuce, brussel sprouts, peppers, cabbage, broccoli, beets, radishes, kale, all the herbs, spinach, turnips...you name it.

Poor Bob!!! They call it the "Bermuda Triangle" even here in the park.

Missing some people on Christmas

My grandchildren were able to visit with my Mom and make her a nice warm blanket for Christmas!!

The table is just starting to fill up with Food. The tables all decorated and the fun begins.

The Chinese gift exchange took forever, but we laughed and laughed. Sally's homemade pottery bowl was exchanged to everyone!!

Christmas Eve at Zella and Harriett's

Every year we attend a really big street party. It

takes about 2 hours to fill all the bags with sand, and candle, line the whole street and connecting street, then light them. But we have a great time!!

I worked very hard to finish this quilt before Christmas for Rebecca.

It turned out pretty good. Getting better with each one. I have made one for Katherine, one for Hank and now this one. Merry Christmas guys!

Tuesday night I get to take over the man-cave. Tonight I am teaching Pegs & Jokers to some friends....using Rea's rules, of course!

The man cave holds up to 10 women! Lucky Hank! lol. We have played golf, mexican train....and whatever!! It is our night to drink wine, snack and share secrets. What fun!

Since I don't wear much jewelry, my friends and family get my beginner gifts.

Natalie has a Christmas Party

Sometimes the Park Models just aren't big enough to have inside so, we sit out on the street. Everyone had a wonderful time. We even saw a road runner with its tail sticking up behind the outside light. Big entertainment for us!
