Hank and I wanted to start tossing horseshoes, and followed the noise of the clanking shoes hitting the post. There we found Verna and Lee. They each took one of us and instructed us on the rules, scoring and how to toss correctly.
From my childhood days with family, we just threw them praying we would get close enough to beat our Dad.
Lee ordered us our own pair of shoes! Cool. We figured in the evenings at all these campgrounds we could practice tossing and might improve to be acceptable to play at PC next year.

Bow Wow Show
Well over 200 people attended the Bow Wow Show on the Pet side of the park. All you had to do was dress your dog, walk across a stage (they could do tricks).
Poor Buddy had re-injured his back and couldn't walk, so he missed it. I know he would have gotten 1st place for the prettiest dog.

Mardi Gras Party
Between the masks, the beads, the king cake, the great Jumbalaya, and gumbo, we didn't need to be in New Orleans! What a great time with about 40 people!
Then to top off the evening, there was Karaoake. What singing!

This a catch up Post
Well...our TV lift wouldn't rise! Then to top it off, to get to the electrical stuff (which was behind the TV) we had to remove the bracket, the ceiling, the TV and just about anything else that was in the way!(lol) Hank finally, after waiting 2 wks for a part was able to repair and reinstall. Yea Hank!
Then for Valentine's Day, Hank got me some beautiful Roses. I got him a balloon.
Things are great here, weather is in the 70's.

Superbowl Party 2010
Whenever there is an excuse for a party, we will get together and last night was no exception. We attended a superbowl party with so much food, I got a belly ache. It was all great. It had rained in the morning and the wind picked up so it was cool once the sun went down. The best part of last night, everyone put money in a pot and guessed the score. I guessed the score 31-17 and won the big pot of $40.
Have a great week.

Cancer Awareness Month
This weekend has been very busy. Everything has been done with a donation to The Cancer Society. Friday night was very moving! We drove Bonnie & Gordon up to see the luminaria lights (over 4,000) set up all through the park. Each had a name of someone you knew written on the bags with beautiful pictures or whatever. It was very emotional strolling throughtout the walkways with all the cancers names.
Saturday, we watched the cancer walk with motorcycles, golf carts, bikes, and of course walkers. We cheered them on as they proceeded to go around the park.
Saturday night we headed over to Bob & Marlene's for some pegs & jokers.
Today is the big super bowl game! I am sure pictures will be posted later.

The first one is an owl in the ground, he is holding up building a street. He is across from our RV Resort.
The second is a road runner going aross the wall beside our RV.

Softball Game
Every Tuesday and Thursday there is several softball games held here at the park. There are 5 huge RV parks close by and they come here to play. Palm Creek has the only ball park. But the main attraction is their hamburgers. We decided to go watch the game and try them out...they were huge and cooked on the grille right when you order. Great! Great games too!

Good Friends
In Indiana, months ago my girlfriend, Debbie had the neatest little basket for plastic utensils. It was a Longaberger Basket! I wasn't aware of these handmade, signed baskets made in Ohio until then. Well, I have looked everywhere including Katherine's stash (in the basement), gargage sales, on-line etc... Yesterday, I received a surprise packet with the cutest basket from Debbie with my very own basket. Thank you!

Chili night with friends
Everyone in the picture has been gone in their coaches either to Mexico, California, Quartsite or Yuma. So, it was nice to have everyone back! So many changes about to take place with all our friends in the next few weeks. We wish them all happpiness. Scout was full of energy and watched his Momma and Buddy protected his mommy.
Next time everyone should be rested up and ready for Pegs & Jokers. Welcome Back!

Oh my new car...what did Hank do?
I came home from volleyball yesterday and found the front grille in my living room. Oh my goodness! Hank installed the base plates for towing the car. It sure looked sad. Anyway, like the saying, "Get it done", Hank put it all back together. We will see.

We had steaks and king crab. What an awesome dinner! As you can see, Eva is still licking her fingers while we all watch her eat the last leg.Good job on the food guys!

Saturday Fish Fry at Ronnie's
All our friends headed to the park entrance around 12:30 to take pictures. What a group of friends. I won't show you the ladies hiking up their pants legs and doing the can can....very unladylike.
Then we headed over to Ronnie's for a "fish fry". We had salmon from Alaska, shrimp from the Gulf, scallops and squid from New England. We had so much food and to top it off, the guys did all the cooking.
Amazing with about 30 people there and we had left overs.

Early Saturday Morning
Our busy morning started at 7:30. Instead of garage sales, we have patio sales in front of your RV or park model. Diane, Kay and I combined all our junk together and had a really fun time selling stuff. Kay lived next door and had a lemon tree. I suggested we pick some (which are huge) and sell them for .25 cents. She sold about 30.
We had a fun morning!

Friday Night
As I explained earlier, the ride to Tennessee and back was - - - -. So, my sweet husband decided to buy us a new car. The seat have heaters, it is awesome on my back. Thank you Hank. Plus, we have lots of room for company. I love the GPS, you just talk to her and tell her where to go and she listens.

Palm Creek
This has been a busy week since we returned from Tennessee. The days are flying by!
We enjoyed a great dinner with Bob & Marlene before they left to Quartsite. We have rented a small storage spot and have made several trips there with stuff I brought back from Tn. I finished up league Volleyball for the fall season and my Team, the Volley Vipers won big time 40-8, can you believe it?
I was picked yesterday for team leader for winter season too and we drafted our team. I am very excited about our new team!
I have been doing yoga twice a week and will restart working out with my personal trainer, April today. Yesterday, Hank and I rode our bike on my first small trip only a couple of miles, but that was enough for the first time.
Hank and I picked out more material for his quilt and decided to expand the lap to a queen size cover. We cut out the material last night.
We that is all the update for the week so for except taking a 5hr. CPR class today.
Love ya'll...later!

Christmas 2009
Well, on our return trip home I got another surprise. My ex-husband invited us to Christmas. Believe or not, I was very excited. Both my girls and my Mom were there.
Christmas Eve Rebecca made some great soups! Christmas morning we all opened presents, Mom got her knitted shawl, Ansley her knitted scraf, Katherine and Rebecca both got their scrap books Mom put together from Birth until now. We played twister, candyland, Ansley rode her new bike, Gabe played with all sorts of remote trucks and mortorcycles.
The girls all pitched in to make a Fantastic meal for lunch. Everything (way to much) you can imagine to eat.
Harman's mother came too! It was like the "good ole days" (lol).
Merry Christmas!

Surprise!
I haven't written in 2 weeks...alot has happened. We got a contract on our house and made a quick (I do mean quick) trip home. We drove 1900 miles in 3 days to pack up our personal items and store them. Then another 1900 miles back and did I mention IN THE CAR? Ouch!
Anyway...very productive 2 weeks home.
When passing through Alabama, we stopped in at Cracker Barrel and met up with My sister Suzanne and Steve. It was so good to visit with Family. We enjoyed it so much and miss you guys terribly.

Busy day in Casa Grande
This morning I started out at 11 am playing volleyball. The Volley Vipers are doing great! We are the number one team and there aren't many games left to play. We really have been the come back kids! Kids! LoL.
Hank then made Christmas cookies and a ginger bread cake for dessert. We will carry it over to Bob & Marlene's for dinner later.
This afternoon, we went to the ballroom and sang Christmas Carols. We had hot chocolate and cookies.
This evening we will be eating with Friends at B & M. (to be continued.)...We had some great Halibut from Alaska that Rod caught. Jean made dinner and it was great!
Then it was the Pegs and Jokers, couples tournament. We had alot of fun playing this.

Farewell Sweet Gizmo
Sometimes God's Blessing aren't what you have planned. As you know, Gizzy would have been 18 years old next month. Hank was expecting to return from Chattanooga tomorrow.
Gizzy couldn't wait. Last night around 2pm. she started really struggling. I took her to the Vets. at 8am. She was a wonderful pet and had traveled many miles, over 30,000. She will be greatly missed. Good-bye Gizmo!

Neighborhood Party
There is always a party going on here in the neighborhood every evening it seems.
Tonight it was Sue and Joe's RV. Chicken, potatoe salad, baked beans, brocalli, cabbage, and great desserts. Hank was missed, but the party must go on!
