My Dad dug this stick up and gave it to me right before he died. It has been run over by a lawn mower, moved several states and gone through a drought. God has blessed me by giving me a single blossom. Dad died in 1996...the tree has bloomed twice, once when I married Hank and now while I am healing from this major surgery.
God is Good.

6 wks.check finally here!
Well, I finally had my 6wks. check up. The Dr. is amazed how well I am doing (it was the caregiver!) Infact, he said I didn't need to do P.T. just go slow back into my regular activity. So, Hank and I went and played pickleball today. That is about as low as I can go, bending down to the floor is still very hard.

It's been a week since I have written...
Sunday, I attended Church again this morning! Wow...I can't believe it has been 5wks.
since my surgery. I have improved so much, it is amazing. I wanted you to see I have been a knitting fool.
I have also been entertained by my dog, Buddy. He got a new toy and it has so much fun watching him be so attached to it, taking it everywhere. Atleast, he has quit following me.
The weather was gorgeous yesterday, very cool. So, I did my first walk up and down a hill. I was surprised how out of breathe I was.
Enjoy your week.

Attending Church at Ridgedale today
Sunday...it was so exciting to wake up and put on a dress and attend Church. While I have been healing, Hank and I were able to watch videos of past sermons. But today, I got to hear the choir sing, visit with people and feel the presence of the Lord in his House. Wow it was wonderful! But I admit, it wore me out and I went home and took a nap
If you would like to hear great sermons from a great Pastor, just type
www.ridgedalebaptist.org
This is great while we are Rv'ing and can't find a local Church or listen anytime he will give you encouragement, hope and strengthen your faith. Enjoy.

Great Day at the Doctor's yesterday
Had a check up at the tummy Dr. yesterday, she said I was 6 wks. ahead. Most people with the kind of surgery I have come in the office at 4 wks. with slippers, p.j's on, walkers or wheel chairs. She dismissed me and said keep it up. WOW. I can take a real bath now.
No P.T. until my follow up with Surgeon at the end of July, so I still have a ways to go...but things are looking up.

What a difference a day makes!
I know the picture isn't very clear, but you get the idea! I woke up and felt great so Hank and I drove over to the mall and walked both levels. We did a little shopping, bought 2 new shirts at (our) favorite C&B store.
Then we actually went grocery shopping....Wow what a big day! I am going to get better by INDY.

July 4th weekend
Katherine arrived late Weds. night. So, Thursday we went for a 2nd drive for me (it didn't feel so hot). Thurs. and Friday I had a few set backs, but we had time for some girly chick flicks, painting toes, reading books, short walks, sipping wine on the porch while it rained.....just a very relaxing weekend. I miss both my girls and this was a good fix for me!! Hank seemed to enjoy having an adult to talk with and not a whinning wife (hee hee).
It is Monday and we both drove her over to the airport to get a rental and she is now heading to Atlanta to work.
Thanks baby for a wonderful weekend, especially the rubs!
