U.S. Space & Rocket Center, Huntsville, Ala.

Hank and I had a nice afternoon looking at space, shuttles, rockets and different equipment. They also had a traveling museum with a t-rex dinosaur.

Cathedral Caverns State Park

Today Hank and I headed up the road to check out the caverns. 126' wide, 25' high entrance make a really great impression. There was about a mile long trail in the cave and took about 2 hrs. A nice 60 degrees was just what we needed instead of the 100 degrees outside. We had a really wonderful day.

A day on the River

Today we spent a wonderful afternoon playing on the river with Nolan, Aiden and Davy. Stinky went in the water too! He wanted to sea do!

We had the best time eating KFC...and trying to dump each other off the sea do. (lol)

Chattanooga, Tennessee

Talking about a little spooky, we are parked in downtown Chattanooga, next to I-24 (on right of picture) and in the back, a housing unit. We are waiting on a part to be delivered from Canada tomorrow and hopefully hit the road Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning.

Pool's Mill Covered Bridge

Buddy had such a great time today playing in a creek.

There was a beautiful old covered bridge built in the 1800's. Very hot but enjoyable day.

Moving Mom again!

Sunday we returned back to Cumming to move Mom to another unit for dementia patients. We had a good laugh, at Hank's expense as my Mom chased the handsome man around the patio area. He had to finally leave, lol.

Later, we joined Suzanne, Steve and Becky for a nice lunch after we finished moving Mom into her nice new apartment.

A Ferry Ride

Yesterday we took our car on a ferry ride over to Dauphin Island.

We passed many oil rigs and gas rigs in the Gulf. They are all over the place. At the end of both Gulf Shores and Dauphin, there are Fort from the Civil War. This is Fort Morgan.

Early morning walks along the Gulf.

Hank and I have enjoyed the early morning walks along the beach.

It is so great to be walking again.

Naval Air Station, Pensacola, Florida

What a great day touring the air museum! We probably could have spent the whole day there watching planes take off and land, and the restoration of old and damaged planes.

Gulf Shores, Alabama

When we arrived, Hank and I immediately decided to go walk the beach. We saw no oil...or any problems that would be related to oil rig explosion. Only thing, people, people everywhere. The beach was so crowded. Maybe because it is Weekend! We hope so! This was only spot to get a pictures without a ton of kids, lol.

We woke up this morning to REALLY BIG thunder-bummers. Hoping to go to the beach and spend the day.

Legacy Museum-Troop County Archives, Lagrange, Ga.

Yesterday, Hank and I finally got to stop by the Legacy Museum in Lagrange, Georgia. Hank's great-grandfather was very famous in this little town and the Civil War. He was a photographer during the war. Right before we sold the house, we found in the attic a real treasure. It was a homemade box with ledgers, journals, pictures, diaries, and medals of his great-grandfather Julius Lindsay Schaub. We took this items to donate to the museum. They were so excited. The medal, in the original box was worth a fortune, he said. They didn't have one in the museum like it. Anyway, he said it would be on display very soon to stop by again. Schaub pictures are all over town he said from the early 1800's. How cool is that?

Katherine came for a quick visit

I was so excited that Katherine came to spend the night before we departed yesterday. We had a really nice visit. I made a great pot of vegetable soup from all Aunt Beckys' veggies like squash, eggplant, tomatoes, okra, beans etc...it was awesome with some cornbread.
