Ronnie's big Fish Fry

This fish fry has become a yearly event.

Ronnie & Eva are from Texas and bring back fish and shrimp that make your mouth water. Steve made great sweet potato fries and I made hush puppies. There were other things like beans, slaw, and awesome deserts. No wonder we have gained weight!

Garden Work

On Thursdays, I have found it very relaxing to go work in our veggie garden. Everyone who works benefits from the garden. Hence, Hank and I have had fresh veggie all winter. These raised, organic gardens are awesome. We have every kind of lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, beets, kale, onions, potatoes, all herbs, beans.

Really neat!

An evening of Fun!

After we played 2 hours of volleyball, we enjoyed great snacks with all the volleyball players and their spouses. Then we slipped away to go to Bob & Marlene's for a game of Pegs & Jokers.

What a fun evening with friends.

Happy Valentine's Day

Kay had a wonderful Valentine Party at her place. We played all sorts of games, Hank and I actually won one over 15 couples. We answered all our questions right...we knew each other the best.

I remember doing this with my kids a few years back and I think Hank and I won then too!!
We had great food again, this is getting to be a bad habit!

"Menopause"

Saturday, 20 girls drove to Mesa to see the Music Play, Menopause. Of course, the age of all the women in our park, 55+.....I think we have been there, done that! It was very fun and I met a bunch of new friends.
Afterwards, we headed over to the Elephant Bar. It was so hard to choose what to eat here, everything looked awesome and was great! I would return here anytime.
Great weekend.

Bob's first flight in the RV

Yesterday Hank took the RV with Bob (the Pilot) out for his first flight. Jim, a long time, experienced RC pilot, checked out the flaps, rudders etc. and concluded Hank did a wonderful job building the plane. He took and landed just fine. It was so exciting!

Last two Monday nights, I have been playing Bid Euchre. It is like bridge & euchre together. So much fun! There were 9 tables of young people, lol.

Bike ride with the girls.

Betty, Glenda and I decided to ride around the park a couple of times! Good job ladies!!

Superbowl Party

Natalie was having a superbowl party and it grew so big, it ended up at our place. Aproximately 40 people, tons of food, 2 TV's and a big money pot. I didn't win anything this year. The evening grew chilly but thanks to everyone, there were 6 heaters spread out everywhere.
We had a great time with great friends.

Gourd Festival

Pam and I have been talking about going to the Gourd Festival for 4 years!

Well, today we went and were so surprised. I had to use my phone so pictures weren't that great. The gourds were amazing. The carvings and details were spectacular. We had a great time and might take up a new hobby next year.

Cancer Awareness Week

Last night was the lighting of 4,000 luminaria bags in honor of friends, and loved ones with cancer or died of cancer. It was a special moment to walk around the park looking at these individuals drawings on the bags. There was also a silent auction and 3 hot air balloons doing "night glowing". Very enjoyable evening with our friends.

Tomorrow, Hank and I are doing the walk around the park, for cancer awareness.
